The following are the stories and interviews we chose to highlight during the period of 23 February through 1 March, 2007, including nonviolent resistance against the Wall and land confiscation from Bil'in to Bethlehem and Palestinian political prisoners hunger striking for justice. INTERNATIONAL law After decades of dismissing United Nations resolutions, the Israeli government was again angered early this week after the UNHRC commissioned a lawyer to prepare a report in which his eventual findings compared Israel to an Apartheid State. John Dugard has served as a judge in the International Court of Justice and as a Special Rapporteur for both the UN Commission on Human Rights and the International Law Commission.
