Mother, son killed when car overturned late Friday

In a page of her Bible, Wilda Watts placed the plans for her funeral. She picked out the songs and she selected her pastors - her nephew and another relative.

This was months ago.

Late Friday, about 100 yards from her home, the car carrying 58-year-old Watts overturned, killing Watts and her 26-year-old son and injuring another.

Wilda Watts and Jonathan Edward Watts, both from Loris, were part of a 24-hour period of multiple crashes in Horry and Georgetown counties on Friday and Saturday. Less than three hours after the crash that killed two members of the Watts family, two best friends died in a three-car crash near Surfside Beach.

And shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, an 18-month-old died in a four-wheeler accident in rural Georgetown County, Coroner Kenny Johnson said.
